Brandon Michael Jackson

January 26, 1985 - October 21, 2022

Brandon Michael Jackson, age 37 years, of Troy, MI, died suddenly on Friday, October 21, 2022, in Alexandria Township, NJ, as a result of an accident doing what he loved, skydiving.

The following was written, with love, by his family:

With heavy hearts we mourn the passing of LCpl Brandon Michael Jackson of Troy MI on October 21st at the age of 37. He’s survived by his loving family and friends. Brandon was a son, brother, uncle, Marine Corp Veteran, a professional skydiver, a wonderful father to his dogs Coraline and China, and an all around Bad Ass Human Being.

Brandon lived his life with purpose and changed many lives along the way. He will be forever remembered and celebrated!

The devastation of this loss is unmeasurable, but we are comforted by his reunion with his older brother Pat, all that have fallen before him, and the wonderful experiences Brandon created.

To honor him, his family asks we all continue to tell his life story and live your own life with some bit of his influence.

A celebration of his life is planned for Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., at his childhood home in Troy, MI. Just wanted to take a second to express my condolences. Brandon was my tandem instructor on September 17th when we were celebrating my best friend's bachelor party. Even though it was only about an hour, over the course of the flight up, the jump, the parachute ride, then talking with him afterward in the hanger, his energy and joy made that Saturday one of the best days of my life. I heard about his passing through a YouTube video and my heart broke. Many many prayers are being sent up for his friends and family. He was an absolute legend.

My heart is broken knowing about Brandon's passing. I started tandem skydiving in 2015 in New Jersey and over the years I got to know Brandon. He was so joyful and kind to me and to many others. The way his face lit up when I showed up to jump always made me smile and he always greeted me with a warm hug. The way me made me laugh as I waited to jump always put a smile on my face. He was a ray of sunshine taken away soon and young from his loving family and dear friends. Brandon, I'll never forget your joyful personality and hugs. Skydiving will always miss your kindhearted soul but you'll always be remembered. I miss you buddy.

Thinking of our family during this difficult time of loss and grief. I will be praying for comfort. Please know that the Love and Gifts that Brandon shared, will live on through us all.

My deepest sympathy to Brandon's family and friends for his tremendous loss. He was professional, a lot of fun, and I had complete trust in him. I am grateful that I got to do 2 skydives with him and get to know him. He was an incredible man. I am thankful for his service to our country.
