Cameron James Dufford, age 6 days, of Flemington, NJ, passed peacefully after a valiant effort on Friday, October 20, 2017 in Morristown Medical Center, Morristown, NJ.
Born on October 14, 2017, son of Sean Joseph Dufford and Melanie Elise Martin Dufford, the six days he spent on this Earth enabled him to touch so many people for the better.
Though he never spoke or even walked, he taught those who knew him more than many could in a normal lifetime. His physical presence may be gone, but Cam has left his mark on so many and in that sense, will never be gone.
Surviving are his loving parents, Melanie and Sean; his paternal grandmother, Patricia Ann Kerr of Flemington, NJ; his paternal grandfather, Edward Dufford of Hampton, NJ; his maternal grandparents, Mary and James F. Martin, Sr. of Flemington, NJ; his paternal great grandfather, Joseph R. Kerr of Flemington, NJ; his maternal great grandmothers, Donata DiGirolamo and Darlene Brain, both of Flemington, NJ; his aunts and uncles, Lauren and James F. Martin, Jr. of Chester, NJ and Michael and Kerri Dufford of Flemington, NJ; as well as many extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Many have reached out to the family asking what they can do to assist them during this time. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested financial assistance for the many medical bills and final expenses that are forthcoming. Once those have all been satisfied, if there are any leftover monies, they will be donated to the NICU at Morristown Medical Center in appreciation of the loving care they took of Cameron and his entire family. ______________
Daddy, please don’t look so sad,
Mama please don’t cry,
“Cause I am in the arms of Jesus
and He sings me lullabies.”
Please, try not to question God,
Don’t think he is unkind
Don’t think He sent me to you,
and then He changed his mind.
You see, I am a special child,
and I’m needed up above
I’m the special gift you gave Him,
the product of your love.
I’ll always be there with you
and watch the sky at night,
Find the brightest star that’s gleaming,
That’s my halo’s brilliant light.
You’ll see me in the morning frost,
that mists your window pane.
That’s me in the summer showers,
I’ll be dancing in the rain.
When you feel a little breeze,
from a gentle wind that blows
That’s me, I’ll be there,
planting a kiss on your nose.
When you see a child playing,
and your heart feels a little tug,
That’s me, I’ll be there,
giving your heart a hug.
So Daddy, please don’t look so sad,
Mama don’t you cry,
“I’m in the arms of Jesus
and He sings me lullabies.”
