Catherine “Tee” Koska, age 96 years, of Ringoes, NJ, died on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at her home surrounded by her grandson and his family who lived with her.
Born August 3, 1918 on the family farm off Biser Road in Delaware Township, NJ she was the daughter of the late John and Carmella Grutta Leone. She was a lifelong area resident.
Tee graduated Flemington High School and worked for many years as a receptionist and secretary at Johanna Farms, Raritan Township, NJ.
A longtime communicant of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ, she had formerly volunteered in the rectory, doing various tasks to assist the clergy. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Tee’s family was her world and they meant everything to her.
She was known for her love of dancing, especially ballroom dancing, as well as her fondness of the outdoors and living on the family farm. She was a strong woman who continued to drive as well as mow the lawn until she was 94 years young.
She was preceded in death by her first husband in 1969, Anenzio Peter “Shay” Constantini; her second husband, Albert Koska in 2013; and 8 brothers and sisters.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Brad Stangil of Lower Saucon Township, PA; a grandson and his wife, Wayne Shay and Deborah Stangil of East Amwell Township, NJ; a granddaughter, Jennifer Edmonson and her fiance, Bob Shemonski of Perkiomenville, PA; two great grandsons, Nicholas Edmonson of Lower Saucon Township, PA and Wayne Shay “Chip” Stangil, Jr. of East Amwell Township, NJ; a sister, Bonnie Higgins of Couer D’Alene, ID; many nieces, nephews and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Joseph Kabali on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ under the care of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ. There are no calling hours and interment will be private. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church on Wednesday at 9:45 a.m.
