Charles Daniel (Danny) Roberts, age 62, of York, PA, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016 in York Hospital, York, PA.

Danny, or “Detroit Dan” was born on October 12, 1953 in Hunterdon Medical Center, Flemington, NJ, and was the son of the late Charles and Lildred Roberts.

Danny graduated from Hunterdon Central High School in 1972.

Danny was a big fan of many sports, and being a resident of Detroit, Michigan for several years, he especially liked watching the Detroit Lions, Detroit Pistons, Michigan Wolverines, Detroit Redwings, and NASCAR racing, but his passion was wrestling.

Danny leaves behind a son, Justin Wiggins of York, Pa; sisters, Diane R. Mobley of Detroit, MI, and Robin L. Wilson of Northampton, PA; brothers Henry Cooper of Flemington, NJ, Tony Cooper of Phillipsburg, NJ; Jimmy McCray, Horace McCray of Bethlehem, PA; aunts Lillie Pearl Taylor of Glenville, GA, and Doris James of Denver, CO; nephew Emory D. Mobley; nieces Thaihisha Wilson, Melissa Brown, Tamara Wilson-Chandler; several grand nieces and nephews; and many, many dear cousins and friends.

There will be a memorial and refreshments on August 27, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Salvation Army Bible Church, 40 E. Main St. Flemington, New Jersey for all who would like to attend. Memorial contributions and flowers may be sent c/o Robin Wilson at 606 Monastery Place, Northampton, PA, 18067.
