Christopher David Bolha, age 32 years, of Brigantine, NJ, died on Friday, February 19, 2016 at his home.
Born in Bound Brook, NJ, June 29, 1983, son of Francis Joseph “Frank” Bolha and Helen Jarema Bolha of Readington Township, NJ, Chris had lived in Brigantine for the past year, having formerly lived in Ventnor City, Jersey City and Readington Township, NJ.
Growing up in Bound Brook and Readington Township, NJ, Chris was a 2001 graduate of Hunterdon Central Regional High School, Flemington, NJ. He went on to attend both Raritan Valley and Atlantic Cape Community Colleges, earning his degree in the culinary arts. He was currently in school to become a counselor.
Chris had worked at several jobs over the years including Verducci’s Italian Deli, Raritan Valley and Panther Valley Country Clubs, NJ PAC, Newark, McGraw Hill, Executive Dining at Rockerfeller Center. He also served as the Executive Chef at Henry on the Hudson, Downtown in Jersey City on the waterfront. Chris’s culinary skills were legend and he was honored to personally serve such people as Bill Clinton, Bon Jovi and Donald Trump over the years.
In addition to cooking, he loved bodybuilding, fishing, bad puns, sports memorabilia, WWE, wrestling, poker, fantasy football and hanging with friends. Chris also had a love/hate relationship with the NY Giants. He was an active participant in both AA & NA meetings.
Surviving, in addition to his loving parents, are a brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Siboney Bolha; several aunts and uncles, Judy and John Durish, Mary and Frank Tenore, and John and Stephen Jarema; as well as by his cousins John and Scott Durish and families, Christina Tenore, and Maria and Roman Drych, as well as many additional extended family and friends.
Christopher was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Karolina and Anatol Jarema and Anna May and Frank Joseph Bolha.
Funeral Services officiated by Rev. John Graf, Jr. will take place Friday, February 26, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ. Committal words will follow at Ewing Crematory, 78 Scotch Road, Ewing, NJ.
Calling hours will be Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. in the funeral home with a time of general reflection at 8:30 p.m. for friends and relatives who are unable to attend Friday’s funeral service.
