Deborah Murray Lynch… a long time resident of both Pottersville and Long Valley, passed away at home, October 12, 2021. She suffered a very long illness and passed away, with her husband of 48 years, Thom Lynch by her side.
She is survived by her son, William Boone, of Glen Gardner and a sister, Susan Johnson, of Round Pond, Maine.
Deborah worked as an executive assistant for the CEO of Marine Measurements in the late sixties, before she began studying art. She first studied at the du Cret School of Art in Plainfield and later went on to study graphic design at the Newark School of Fine Art. She worked as the graphics coordinator for Feed Back Inc. in Berkeley Heights, NJ, before retiring in 1992.
The most meaningful part of Deborah’s life was her mentoring and concern for young women and their children. When their families were experiencing difficult times, she would open her home for them, so that they would have a safe and secure place to stay, until the hard times passed. She would refer to these women as her “chosen daughters”.
One last thing… Debbie loved Pottersville!
Cremation at the Chapel of Ewing Crematory will be private under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
