Dorothy Marie Bodek, age 89 years, of Clinton Township, NJ, died peacefully on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Rolling Hills Care Center under the caring watch of Hunterdon Hospice.

Dorothy was born in Jersey City, NJ, to the late Bridget Morgan (nee Deignan) and Karl Johnson, and resided there during her younger years.

She married Stanley Bodek and then moved to Carlstadt, NJ, where she raised five children and worked as a nurse. She was an avid reader whoenjoyed days at the beach and spending time with her grandchildren.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Bodek, son Joseph Bodek, grandsons Skyler Bodek and Julian Bodek.

She is survived by her children, Michael Bodek, John Bodek, Steven Bodek, and Kathleen Ferrara; grandchildren, Kristian Bodek, John Appleyard, Matthew Appleyard, Kristine Zelesny, Gabrielle Brendahl, and Mikaela Bodek; and
great-grandchildren, Reed Bodek, Leah Bodek, Gregory Fullam, Alexander Fullam, Lana Bodek, and Finn Brendahl.

Life celebration services and interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ, were private under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
