Douglas Charles Young, age 60 years, of Clinton, NJ, died suddenly but peacefully at home on Monday, March 6, 2023.
Born at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ, March 9, 1962, son of the late John and Joyce Orts Young, Doug was a lifelong Hunterdon County resident.
Graduating from Hunterdon Central Regional High School, Flemington, NJ, Doug worked for ARC Industries doing construction for many years.
An extremely hard worker, Doug overcame many obstacles to achieve his dreams and was an inspiration to all who knew him.
With a big heart and sense of humor to match, he loved motorcycles and any day was a great day to go for a ride! He was a firearm aficionado, and greatly enjoyed building and cleaning firearms.
Very independent, he cared for others and the love and care of he took of his mother in her final years will never be forgotten and is a true testament to his caring heart.
Surviving are his sister and brother-in-law, Theresa Randis-Fisher and Dan Fisher; his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Sally Young; his brother, John Young; his sister, Gene Young; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and extended family; his Hunterdon ARC Family; and many friends.
Graveside life celebration services in Cedar Ridge Cemetery, Blairstown, NJ, are private under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
