Edna Goldstein, age 91 years, of Jackson Township, NJ, died suddenly on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold, NJ.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Joshua and Pearl Lasker Berg, she was raised in Brooklyn, NY and had lived for many years in Saratoga Springs, NY, Monroe, NJ, and Coconut Creek, FL, prior to moving back to New Jersey three years ago.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Edna was the poster child for ‘kindness’. Her heart was full of love for all those she encountered, and each person she met was made to feel special by her love and attention.
A foodie, Edna had many diverse hobbies from knitting to staying current on local events. She was a womasn right advocate from the beginning, and fought to show that all people are special and have the same value as anyone else. It was that mantra which brought a special light into the world, and which now falls upon her children and grandchildren to carry forward as they travel their own life paths.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded death by her husband, Harvey; a daughter, Shelley Lynn Goldstein-Groussis; her brother and sister-in-law, Philip and Rita Berg; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Abe and Anita Goldstein.
Surviving are her daughter and her fiancé, Paula Leonard and Jerald Landau; her son and daughter-in-law, Joel and Sharon Goldstein; her grandchildren, Jennifer and Ben Goldstein, Rory Leonard, and Helena, Brad, Brielle, and Natalie Landau; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family; and many friends made wherever she traveled.
