Eleanore Amelia Petretti

Eleanore Amelia Petretti, age 97 years, of Pittstown, NJ, died on Monday, June 21, 2021 at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born on August 25, 1923 in Moonachie, NJ to the late Richard and Anna Zarubnicky Van Saders, Eleanore was raised in Moonachie living in Little Ferry and Branchburg before moving to Pittstown a year ago.

Eleanore had a love for cooking, family, and traveling the world. Some of her favorite places were Ireland, Italy, France and Czechoslovakia.

In addition to her parents, Eleanore is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Petretti and a daughter, Linore Rocker.

Surviving are two children, Kenneth Petretti and daughter-in-law, Coral, Wendy Vurckio and son-in-law, John; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and many dear friends.

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 24, 2021, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.

Entombment will immediately follow at Hackensack Cemetery, 289 Hackensack Avenue, Hackensack, NJ 07601 to which all are welcome.

It is important to remember that given the current state of the pandemic, the family is requesting masks must be worn at all times on funeral home, and cemetery grounds, and social distancing must be maintained.
