Ermelinda “Emily” Comandini, age 93 years, of Lawrenceville, GA, died peacefully with her children by her side on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at MeSun Hospice, Lawrenceville, GA.
Emily entered the workforce after being widowed at a young age. She worked as a legal secretary and then as a dental hygienist while raising her son and daughter. She played the role of mother and father in a time when that wasn’t common. Despite these struggles, she always provided a loving and warm home for her son and daughter.
Emily never remarried after the death of her husband Angelo, who predeceased her by 52 years. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Amelia, her father, Cosmo and her siblings, Vincent, Andy, Theresa, and Jean.
She is survived by her son, Thomas, her daughter, Linda, her granddaughter, Melissa, her great-granddaughter, Skyler, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many dear friends.
Emily will be remembered by her contagious smile that lit up the room when she was present. She was an exceptionally strong woman never letting anything bring her down.
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Mauricio Tabera will take place on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 9:45 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 105 Summer Road, Flemington, NJ, under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ. Everyone is kindly asked to arrive at the church beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
Following mass, Emily will be buried next to her beloved husband, Angelo, at Resurrection Cemetery, 899 East Lincoln Avenue, Piscataway, NJ, 08854.
