Fausta Jorge Lopez, age 97 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died peacefully on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on December 19, 1925, in Coamo, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Victor Jorge Bermudez and Antonia Lopez Cruz. In the late 1940s, she moved to New York, where she met and married her husband, Noel Eduardo Rodriguez Fernandez. After few years, they moved to Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, where they started their family. After the passing of her late husband, Fausta moved to New Jersey, where she lived ever since.
Fausta led a life filled with love and devotion, exemplified by her favorite song, “Amor Eterno,” which she dedicated to her late husband. She held steadfast devotion to the Virgin Mary and made it a part of her daily routine to pray to the Perpetual Virgin. Her faith was a strong force, providing her comfort and guidance throughout her journey.
As a homemaker, Fausta poured her heart and soul into creating a nurturing environment for her children and family. She lovingly raised her daughter, Diana Santiago, and son, Noel Rodriguez, instilling in them profound values of faith, respect, responsibility, generosity, and compassion. The love she showered upon her family knew no bounds and will forever be etched in their hearts.
Fausta had a deep appreciation for nature and all its wonders. One of her favorite pastimes was visiting farms, where she delighted in picking fresh fruits and vegetables, connecting with the earth, and nurturing her loved ones with the bounty it provided. Each trip brought her joy and a sense of fulfillment.
May her gentle soul find eternal peace, and may her legacy continue to inspire us to live a life filled with love, devotion, and kindness.
In addition to her parents, Fausta is preceded in death by her sisters, Maria Jorge Lopez, Modesta Jorge Lopez, Enriquetta Jorge Lopez, Angela Jorge Lopez; brothers, Ramon Jorge Lopez, Gumercindo Jorge Lopez, Martin Jorge Lopez, and Rafael Jorge Lopez.
Surviving are her son, Noel E. Rodriquez Jorge (wife, Carmen); daughter, Diana Santiago (husband, Lino); six grandchildren, Noel (wife, Lizette), Nelson, Giovanni, Mariana (husband, Errol), Natalia (husband, Robert), and Lino Emmanuel; four great grandchildren, Xelymar, Jose Noel, Victoria Aniliz, and Eriana; several extended family; and many dear friends.
Life celebration arrangements are private under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
