FRANK DeANGELIS, 88, of Raritan Township, entered eternal life on February 20, 2015 at Independence Manor in Flemington. He was born in Cliffside Park, NJ and lived in Middlesex and Lincroft before moving to Flemington 3 years ago. Frank was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend, who will be missed and remembered by many.
Frank served in the US Navy in the South Pacific during WWII. He made over 1,000 shadowboxes for military personnel from all branches of the service. In recognition of his selfless efforts, Frank was made an Honorary Tuskegee Airman, and Honorary Member of “Easy Company” 506th P.I.R. (the Band of Brothers), and an Honorary United States Marine.
Frank was predeceased by his sister Josie Innocenti.
He leaves his two sons, Richard and his wife Margaret DeAngelis of Flemington, and Michael DeAngelis and his wife Brigitte of Oceanside, CA, and his brother Jack DeAngelis of Middlesex. He also leaves five grandchildren, Jennifer Messinger, Candace Sneed, Brooke Duke, Torrey DeAngelis, and Samantha DeAngelis.
Funeral Services will take place on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ, officiated by Rev. Jack O’Kane. Graveside Services with military honors will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 100 Chapel Hill Road, Red Bank, NJ 07701. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
