Howard Kenny Quick, Jr., age 54 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died peacefully on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown, NJ, with his loving and devoted wife, Tiffany, by his side.
Born at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township on August 14, 1968, son of Howard Kenneth Quick, Sr. and Patricia Ann Gregory Quick, he was a lifelong Hunterdon County resident.
Graduating from North Hunterdon Regional High School in 1986, Kenny, as he was known by everyone, used his innate mechanical talents and joined the Carpenter’s Union #254, Edison, NJ. His peers and friends all recall him as a true master of his craft, and Kenny was a perfectionist who ensured anything he created was done to the best of his ability.
With a wit that made anyone laugh, Kenny was truly a man who was always there for his family and friends however he was able. He could fix almost anything and enjoyed building furniture and woodworking in general.
Meeting Tiffany LeAnn Forte in the early 90’s, while she was working at the bakery department at ACME, his persistence finally turned into a date after a year of him asking, and it was not soon after that date which Tiffany realized she had met the man of her dreams. The two wed on September 30, 1995, at the 3rd Reformed Church, Raritan, NJ. Their union would bring them the light of Kenny’s world, his daughter Sydney, whom he adored and was so proud of the young woman she had become.
A longtime member of the Flemington Elks#1928, Kenny loved fishing and camping as well as riding ATV’s and enjoying a Heineken by a fire pit with family and friends. He also enjoyed playing cards and spending time at Showboat in Atlantic City showing the house who was the real boss! In the little free time he wasn’t working or spending time with family, Kenny cultivated a vegetable garden that was unrivaled and fed many friends during the season.
Though his time on earth ended way too soon, his love for those in his orbit will not fade. The work he did surely speaks for him, and to honor him, please endeavor to live your life being there for others however you are able.
Surviving, in addition to his parents Howard Sr. and Patricia Quick, his wife, Tiffany Quick, and his daughter, Sydney Ann Quick, are his sisters, Sherri Quick and Barbara and her husband, Kenneth Seiber; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Forte; his father-in-law, Anthony and his wife, Laura Forte; his sister-in-law, Nicole and her husband, Scott Garres; his brother-in-law, Anthony Forte; his nieces and nephews, Justin Seiber, Tyler Seiber, Christopher Long, Ransom Long, Sophia Forte, and Stella Forte; his canine companion, Bella; several extended family members; and many dear friends.
