Harry Aristide Cozzi, age 80 years, of Branchburg, NJ, died suddenly but peacefully on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Harry always enjoyed the finer things in life and treasured family, friends, and food. He especially enjoyed hosting parties, barbecues, and events at his family home in Middletown, NJ. He owned his own computer consulting company for more than 20 years and in his spare time was an amateur wine maker, enjoyed gardening, and playing Pinochle with family and friends.
Harry was born in Brooklyn, NY. There he met the love of his life, Rosalinda Napolitano. He worked as an apprentice alongside her father, Pellegrino, in his machine shop for a number of years as a draftsman. After graduating Hunter College, Harry married Rosalinda on October 22, 1966, and became a high school math teacher. As a father of two boys, Anthony and David, Harry would often take his family to Long Island Beaches, for walks in the Brooklyn neighborhood, and they enjoyed sledding in the nearby schoolyard. He loved his wife’s family dearly, and often spent time with her aunts and uncles, visiting with them, and playing Pinochle.
In 1971, Harry attended Pratt Institute of Technology and received his Master’s Degree in Computer Science, later working for the Human Resources Administration of New York as a computer programmer.
In 1976, Harry, Rosalinda, and the boys moved to Middletown, NJ, where Harry started his first computer consulting company, Automated Software Design. Here Harry hosted numerous parties for his family and friends. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus, and has volunteered numerous hours to both the Church and the Knights.
Harry was blessed to be a “Papa” to seven grandchildren and enjoyed the time he spent with each. He was a faithful caregiver to his wife as she struggled with end-stage renal failure and a kidney transplant. In September of 2000, Harry lost his soulmate, Rosalinda, and has spent much of the past 23 years trying to fill the hole she left in his heart.
Harry is survived by his sons, Anthony and David; their wives, Linda and Danette; and his seven grandchildren, Christopher, Anna, Jason, Diana, Rosalinda, Christina, and Alex.
