Helen K. McCoy, age 75 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Monday, September 14, 2015 at her home.
Born in Rahway, NJ, October 21, 1939, daughter of the late John and Pauline Koncur Klunder, she had resided in Raritan Township since 2006, having formerly lived in Hillsborough and Union, NJ.
A retired executive assistant with Exxon Biomedical Sciences, East Millstone, NJ, Helen will be remembered for many things, including her fantastic artistic skills in various mediums, including oils and pen and ink.
Her wit was legendary and she was an avid fan of the New York Mets. She was a devoted friend to many, and her children will remember her for teaching them the value of respecting others as one would want to be respected in return. This is but just one aspect of her enduring legacy.
She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-two years, Carelton J. McCoy in 2004.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Beth Ann McCoy and William Harrison of Rochester, NY; a son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan Martin and Laura Bradley McCoy of Bethesda, MD; a grandson, Alexander Hudson McCoy; a sister; Francie Klunder of Rahway, NJ; an aunt, Olga Hayes of Plainfield, NJ; and many friends.
Memorial Services will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 2:00 p.m in Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ. Friends will be received Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
