Jacqueline Geraldine Nelson, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, surrounded by her devoted family.

She was born February 15, 1940, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Fredrick J. and Sylvia Balmer.

She attended both Barry University and Marymount University, where she pursued her education and developed a strong foundation in her field. As a trailblazer, she made history as the first female Cadillac dealer in the United States, proudly owning and operating Nelson Balmer Cadillac and Dealers Leasing. Beyond her professional achievements, she had a profound love and lifelong dedication to dogs and horses, finding great joy in showing them. Throughout her life, she touched the lives of many with her unwavering passion and love for Jesus, leaving a lasting impact on those who knew her.

Jacqueline is survived by her beloved husband, Henry, their three children, Genevieve Fastnedge and her husband, Ian, and their children, Jordan, Justin and Catherine, Walter Goss and his wife, Kim, and their children, Kaitlyn, David, Evan, and Landon, and Jennifer Chapin and her husband, Lonnie, and their children, Max, Ryan and Jack. She is also survived by her favorite and only brother, Fred Balmer and his son, Eric.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as a son, Scott Nelson.

Graveside life celebration services were private at The Green-Wood Cemetery, 500 25th Street, Brooklyn, NY, 11232, under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
