June 15, 1940 - December 17, 2020

James Michael “Jim” Clare, age 80 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died peacefully on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at home, with his loving wife, Barbara, by his side, and under the caring watch of Hunterdon Hospice.

A complete life legacy will be forthcoming.

Complete life celebration services and interment will be announced under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.

Dear cousin Barbara, We are truly saddened by your loss I always enjoyed the time spent with you and Jim. He was really devoted to his family. I know that he will be missed by all. Love you, John
James Clare Jr left a message on December 18, 2020:
It is with deep sadness that I share that my father, James, has passed away. I have no words to describe the depth of my hurt and sorrow at the loss of the man who was always there when I needed to be picked up, or to be kicked in the ass, as the case often was. Growing up we wanted for nothing, and although we had many ups and downs, he was always there with open arms to welcome me in. I was able to see him in his last days while he was still alert and able to talk with me. We laughed about old times, and reminisced about family vacations and trips. He was a Navy Veteran who served his country honorably, and then his family with that same honor. I am glad that I could be there in the end to make him laugh. My family and this world have lost a really good guy, and he will be surely missed. Rest In Peace Dad, I hope to see you on the other side.
