James Richard “Jim” Lobb, age 41 years, of Manchester, MD, died suddenly of natural causes on Monday, October 5, 2015 at his home.
Born in Livingston, NJ, May 21, 1974, beloved son of Melvin L. and Patricia A. Dzmil Lobb of Kingwood Township, NJ, Jim was raised in Pittstown, NJ and was a 1992 graduate of Delaware Valley Regional High School. He had resided in Manchester for the past ten years, having formerly lived in Westminster, MD.
After high school, Jim attended the United States Naval Academy and went on to graduate from the University of Maryland with a B.A. in Criminal Justice and History. He was a Project Manager and Safety Director in the construction industry.
That “guy who was always smiling,” Jim will best be remembered for being the quintessential family man; a devoted son to his parents, a dedicated father to his son, a loving brother and just great guy to be around. He was the one everyone turned to confide in, and in turn, Jim listened and was always supportive.
He loved anything outdoors, hunting and fishing being on the top of his list of things to do. Military history, specifically the Civil War, also was a hobby that he enjoyed reading about and researching.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his son, James Daniel “Little Jimmy” Lobb; his wife, Jennifer Girardi Lobb; a brother, Thomas J. Lobb of Kingwood Township, NJ; an aunt, Helene Schmid of Hillside, NJ; an uncle and aunt, John and Ellen Dzmil of Pittstown, NJ; and many other extended family and friends.
