Janet Trenery, of Raritan Boro, NJ, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, with her loving son, Chris, by her side.
Born in Somerville, NJ, March 1, 1952, daughter of Margaret Mary Hawkins Scaler of Clinton Township, NJ and the late Edward Scaler, she had resided in Raritan Boro for the past forty-five years.
A 1970 graduate of Somerville High School, Janet worked for many years at Sears in Bridgewater and Plainfield, NJ.
Janet was a woman of faith and attended Calvary Baptist Church in East Millstone for many years and most recently was very involved with Calvary Bible Church, Readington, NJ, where she worked with the children’s programs as well as with the homeless program. She put her faith into action but never forced anyone to follow her beliefs. Simply put, she was kind to everyone she met and her compassion for others is what directed her life.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her son, Christopher Trenery of Raritan Boro, NJ; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Deanna Scaler; a sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Randy Scott; a nephew, Alex; a niece, Gabrielle; and many friends.
Funeral arrangements and cremation at Ewing Crematory, Ewing Township, NJ are private under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
