Hannah I am so sorry for the loss of your mom and your dad. Your dad was a wonderful man. I knew him for many years. I cannot believe what has happened. Love you and miss seeing you.

John was such a kind hearted and good man who worked so hard for his family. He was a part of our family when he was away from his family while he was working. He helped my husband get his cdl and was such a good teacher. He spent many holidays and dinners with us over the years. I’ll never forget the last meal we had with him at brunch with Santa at the Ringoes Firehouse with our 2 little kids. John would have made a much better Santa than the fireman Santa! May he rest in peace and always be protecting his family from heaven.

He loved his family – when he lost his wife, his world fell apart. He was working on picking up the pieces and coming back to work and then this tragedy happened. His daughter Hannah and his granddaughters were the light of his life. He was always proud of Hannah. Twins Marley and Delilah, and Rylee and Hazel were all he talked about. He was happy the twins were thriving now that they were living with him and Brenda in South Carolina. And the younger ones, Rylee and Hazel were lots of fun, always making him smile and laugh. He loved to share pictures of the them all with us. And John always cared for his Mother. He took care of everyone. John told me years ago – he loved his job. He didn’t like that it kept him away from his family, but he loved what he did (even thought it was hard work and dirty, but he was proud of what he accomplished and was a part of). He joined my family for many holidays, including Thanksgiving, Easter and even family birthday parties because he was here in NJ on weekends and not at home, and we were always happy to have him. His coworkers were his family away from home. He shared things with each and every one of us because he trusted us and knew we all cared for him as well. John would do anything to help anyone. Everyone liked John.

John was one of the kindest and caring men I knew. He was always there to help or offer a kind word. I remember one time when he was in NJ I told him I was planning on taking my pool down & having it replaced with a new one. I was looking for someone to disassemble the old pool. That weekend John & Alberto showed up & disassembled the pool. Who does that these days??? Another time when I was struggling with my Mom's death, John was in the office & sat down & spoke to consoling my broken heart. It was an honor to know & love John because he was a special man. RIP my dear friend .l

We are so saddened by the loss of John. John was someone that you could rely on and trust to always do his best. His love for his family and his struggles to help his family were what really made him a great man. Delilah and Marley were his precious loves. He always wanted the best for you two special little girls. John had many dinners with us and spent time with our family. He always was fun to be with. We will miss him dearly and hope that your family will help each other out through this terrible time. Sincerely, Virginia and Mark Ziegenfuss

I wish I had the right words.... you were my 1st friend when I started at Ziegenfuss. Back in the elevator days I can remember the phone ringing at 455 Friday afternoon and we all knew it was you and to settle in and get comfortable because there was going to be one hell of a story. And those stories reminded me that tomorrow was another day and to just tale it all in stride, and I will use that lesson forever. And over time you became family.... from kaytlyn and hold my dog, to the tbird. That is the you I will never forget. I hope you knew I always was there for you and I hope you knew I always had your back. I hope to be half the person you were.
