Very sad to hear of John's passing. I was an employee and student at RVCC so I spent a lot of time in the bookstore. John was helpful and friendly. Talked about his dogs and his family as well as cooking. Rest well John.

I was surprised to learn of John's interest in astronomy. I have good memories of conversations about that and other interests with him. Rest well in the glory of the heavens!

I am at a loss for words and my heart hurts. I met John many years ago at RVCC and have been friends with him ever since. He was a good man and I am proud to call him my friend. My condolences to his family.

John was a kind and quiet man. He is gone far too soon. His presence, his sense of humor, his willingness to help anyone and everyone, his grilling expertise, will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. We are glad we were able to talk with him one last time. Rest in peace, John.

John might've disliked getting his picture taken, but, he loved his dog(s). He was a character and more family to me than a lot of my family. Professional uncle, taking people on zoo and fishing trips. Helluva cook too. Rest easy.
