Joseph “Joey” Francis Veneziale, Jr., age 51 years, of Indian Trail, NC, died on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Duke University Hospital, Durham, NC, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on September 22, 1965, in Biloxi, MS, he was the son of Joseph Francis Veneziale, Sr. and Barbara Wisniewski Veneziale of Flemington, NJ.
Throughout the last year and a half, Joey showed his family and friends incredible love and courage as he fought his illness with a resilience that will be among the many things he leaves as his legacy.
Joey was a lifetime fan of the Mets, Rams and Rangers. He was a longtime member of the Flemington Moose Lodge, Monroe Moose Riders, and Parrothead Club of Charlotte. Joey was known to enjoy the Parrothead lifestyle and his greatest passion was riding his Harley with his wife Cheri and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of twenty-three years, Cheri Lynn Beck Veneziale; a daughter, Erin Nicole Veneziale of Baltimore, MD; a son, Michael Joseph Veneziale of Burlington, VT; two brothers, Frank Veneziale and Tony Veneziale, both of Whitehouse Station, NJ; his beloved dogs, Rex and Shadow; and many extended family and friends.

A celebration of Joey’s life will take place on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ. This will be preceded by a public visitation from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be private in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Bridgewater, NJ.
