Judith Ann “Judy” Ralph, age 74 years, of Sergeantsville, NJ, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at Independence Manor, Raritan Township, NJ, under the caring watch of Hunterdon Hospice.
Born in Montclair, NJ, March 13, 1946, daughter of the late Finlay James Ralph and Albertine Marie Harlow Ralph, Judy earned her BA from Tuscaloosa College in North Carolina and later her MA in Education from New York University.
For thirty-three years she was a counselor and eventually Director of Care for the ARC of Hunterdon where she made lifelong friends and ensured that her clients always believed in themselves. Her work was truly her calling and Judy, along with her beloved lab Zoe, loved to help the clients, who became her family. She and Zoe also traveled to various elder care facilities in Hunterdon and the surrounding counties spreading joy wherever they went.
Faith was also very important to Judy, and many will remember her “Front Porch Coffee Talks” where Judy loved to share her thoughts on the scriptures. She always encouraged others to find faith in their own way, and she was happy to provide a listening and caring ear as people navigated life’s path.
Truly a people person, Judy enjoyed reading mysteries, bible study, long walks with Zoe, and just enjoying all that God had provided in nature.
As she closed her eyes on June 16, she surely awoke in the place promised to all of God’s children, with her most favorite bible passage on her lips, John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
A celebration of Judy’s life officiated by Rev.
