Kathleen Ella “Kathy” Zutell, age 59 years, of Clinton, NJ, died on Monday, May 7, 2018 at her home.
Born in Vermont, August 9, 1958, Kathy was the mother of Robert, Rebecca, Bonnie, Frankie and Alec.
As written by her family, “Our Mother was a vibrant soul who saw the humor in tragedy and refused to abandon hope for the chance of a better tomorrow. Her motto always was, “do the next right thing.” She was uniquely honest and open, she was quick to forgive and was especially compassionate toward others who like her, sought redemption.”
“She loved good music, good television, good books and her grandbabies. She doted on her plants, her fish and soaked up the view from her porch each sunrise and sunset. She adored feeding the birds and cooking classic American dishes- no one made a meatloaf like our Momma.”
“The single most beloved song of hers was “Unforgettable” by Nat King Cole, the version where his daughter sings a duet with the original rendition, as if she were singing with her father who by then had already passed. Our best memories with her are of all of us rascal kids at her table eating, laughing, being our dysfunctional selves with her as our matriarch. We will carry her in our hearts forever. Her sense of humor, her fearless honesty, her love of cooking and her appreciation of cinema will live on in all of us.”
