Kevin Christopher Foust, age 33 years, of Kingwood Township, NJ, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on August 14, 1989, in Trenton, NJ, son of Irvin William Foust and Mary Lynne Lebo Foust, he was a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County.
Graduating from Delaware Valley Regional High School in 2007, Kevin followed his father’s lead and became an electrician, working side by side with him at Wiremen Electric, Inc., Fallsington, PA. He was well regarded by his peers and the Wiremen Electric customers for his knowledge and problem-solving ability. From childhood, Kevin was naturally mechanically inclined and always enjoyed taking apart things to see how they were put together and worked, which proved a valuable asset in his professional career.
The middle child with an older and younger sister, Kevin was the favorite son of his parents. He had a witty and goofy sense of humor, and possessed a depth of knowledge that allowed him to talk deeply on a wide variety of topics. He and his younger sister loved to have philosophical and deep conversations about various topics.
Making friends easily, Kevin enjoyed making everyone laugh and he loved growing up in Hunterdon County where life lessons were learned. He rode dirt bikes and quads, and enjoyed tinkering in the garage. He excelled in working on computers and building them from scratch. He was fiercely independent and rarely asked for help. Though this gentle soul is no longer physically present, Kevin will always leave a lasting mark of good on those he interacted with.
With a diagnosis of colorectal cancer two years ago, his battle reflected the type of person he was. His illness is a reminder to those in their 30’s that you are not invincible and attending to your health, and following through when you know something is wrong, is extremely important in perhaps saving your own life. Kevin’s family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff members at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, for their genuine care of Kevin these past several years.
In addition to his grandparents, Kevin was preceded in death by his uncle, Thomas Foust; his aunt, Marlene Foust; and his cousin, Katie Foust.
Surviving are his mother, Mary Lynne Foust; his father, Irvin William Foust and his longtime partner, Jennifer Giarrantano; his sisters, Jennifer Lynne Foust and Stephanie Michelle Foust; his favorite niece and Goddaughter, Allison Evelyn Skowronek; his step-brother, Kevin (RK) Christ; his aunts and uncles, Guy and Michelle Lebo, Michael and Cheryl Foust, Deb Obert, and Jill Foust; several extended family members; his beloved canine companion, Poncho; and many dear friends.
Kevin will lie in repose on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 10:30-11:30 a.m., at Our Lady Of Victories Church, 1007 County Road 519, Baptistown, NJ (Kingwood Township or Frenchtown for GPS).
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Msgr. David Fulton will take place following the gathering on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 11:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Victories Church.
Following Mass, Kevin will be laid to rest at St. Magdalen Cemetery, North Main Street, Flemington, NJ, and to which all are welcome.
All arrangements are under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
