On May 2,2023, Lois A. Myers, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, passed away at the age of 85 years. Lois was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey and gained a bachelor’s degree of science and a nursing degree. Lois retired from Johnson & Johnson after fifteen years to raise three beautiful grandchildren. She also drove a school bus for many years in Franklin Township, New Jersey. She continued working with the elderly after gaining her degree in nursing.
A woman who loved well and was well-loved. She had a passion for always helping others. She was involved in many church activities in both Virginia and Delaware, where she volunteered her time throughout the years. Lois was a volunteer at Kent County Community School for their foster grandparent program. She was in the Coast Guard Auxiliary and received an Administrative Procedure Specialist qualification. A member of the American Legion Post in Dover, Delaware, a member of the Human Relations Commission for the state of Delaware, and was on the board for the Department of Corrections in Delaware.
She is predeceased by her husband, James “Buzz” Myers and her brothers and sister.
Lois is survived by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and close friends who adored Lois and became her Delaware extended family. Lois leaves behind a beautiful family that vows to carry out her wishes. Lois has requested to be donated to research and learning and has been transported to Anatomy Gifts Registry.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, we ask for donations to be made to your charity of choice. Lois has requested no memorial service.
