Lorraine Agnes Teatzner, age 83 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died peacefully at home, September 20, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on December 18, 1939, in Kingston, PA, daughter of the late Carmen and Anita Zuriss Diaco, Lorraine was a beacon of warmth, kindness, and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Lorrie’s zest for life was evident in her every endeavor. With a high school diploma in hand, she would get married and raise a family and later in life, take on the role of Activities Director at Hunterdon Care Center. Lorrie dedicated herself to enriching the lives of the residents, ensuring they experienced happiness and fulfillment through various engaging activities.
Throughout her remarkable journey, Lorrie’s love for her family was a source of inspiration for all who knew her. She shared sixty-five remarkable years of marriage with her beloved husband, Arthur Teatzner. Their love story blossomed during their time at Bound Brook High School, where they first met, and remained an enduring bond throughout their lives. Together, they embraced the joys and challenges that life presented with unwavering strength and devotion.
Lorrie’s love for horses was a defining passion in her life. She spent countless hours riding and caring for these majestic creatures, forming a deep bond with each one. Her affection for animals extended beyond horses, as she tenderly raised pigs, lambs, goats, and rabbits, creating a charming menagerie that reflected her nurturing soul.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Arthur and two brothers, Rusty and Ronald Diaco.
Surviving are her husband, Arthur; daughter, Kimberlee Beckert; son, Eric Teatzner; two sisters, Geraldine Nicholson and Jaqueline Diaco; three grandchildren, Heather, Deric, and Mark; and many dear friends.
Life celebration arrangements are under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
