Marietta A. Horn, age 68 years, of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died on Friday, February 26, 2016 in Kindred Hospice at St. Clare’s Hospital, Dover, NJ.
Born in Berlin, Germany, November 6, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Stefanos and Ilse Charlotte Grau Neochoritis.
Marietta worked as a personal trainer for Hunterdon Health and Wellness Center for over eighteen years.
Fluent in four languages, she will be remembered for her strong-willed and determined, yet gentle personality. She was the one who went the extra mile in helping her patients and co-workers and always tried to do what was best for those in need.
Marietta had a menagerie of animals; from horses to birds to dogs to cats, she loved animals and provided an sanctuary to many. In addition to helping animals, she enjoyed surfing and spending any time on the water, from windsurfing to sailing to relaxing, she did it all.
Surviving are her daughter, Tina Horn; her longtime companion, Eric Marcello; and her former husband, James Horn.
She was preceded in death by two cherished sons, Brian Horn in 1971 and Randy Horn in 1988.
A Celebration of Life officiated by Rev. Tom Roberts will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Cherryville Baptist Church, 594 Cherryville Road, Flemington, NJ 08822. Arrangements and interment are under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ 08822.
