Martin Napholz, 88, of Kingwood Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, April 8, 2003 at home. He was born on November 4, 1914 in Austria-Hungary, the son of the late Simon Napholz and Theresa Karuz Napholz and came to the United States in 1952 living in New York City before moving to Kingwood in 1963. Until his retirement he was employed in the maintenance department of Princeton University, Princeton, NJ. Mr. Napholz was a parishioner of Our Lady of Victories Church, Baptistown, NJ and a member of the Kingwood Township Merry Mixers. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Katherine Napholz; two sons, Adolf Napholz of Blairstown, NJ, and Martin Napholz Jr. of Fairfield, NJ; one daughter, Anneliese Gimpel of Collegeville, PA; one sister, Anna Vincze of Canada; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A son Joseph Napholz died in 1999. The funeral will begin on Saturday, April 12, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. from the Robert L. Ford Funeral Home, #38 Highway 31, Flemington, NJ to celebrate the Funeral Liturgy at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Victories Church, Baptistown, NJ. Interment will be private. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, April 11, 2003 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hunterdon Hospice, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822.
