Maureen “Moe” Sheridan, age 59 years, of Clinton Township, NJ, died peacefully on Monday, February 05, 2024, at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Raised in Martinsville, NJ, as the youngest of five siblings, she loved Martinsville as it was a wonderful place to have grown up, with many neighborhood friends and families to play with. They loved exploring the farms, creeks, and woods. Later she married and moved to the farm country of Pittstown, NJ, where she raised her two children, Kevin Peter and Shannon.
Maureen took great pride in her children’s accomplishments as they grew up and moved on. She loved animals—spending several years training with horses, and she almost always had a dog in her life. Like many, Maureen hit a couple of rough patches in her life, but she took life in stride and didn’t let it stress her. She will always be remembered as an easygoing, laidback person who was outgoing, friendly, caring of others, and always full of love for her family and friends.
Maureen’s pain and sickness is now over and she is resting in peace. Without a doubt, she would want everyone else to party on.
She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Catherine Sheridan; and brother, Peter Michael.
She leaves behind her greatest sources of pride, her son, Kevin Peter Slowey (partner, Rose) and her daughter, Shannon Slowey (husband, Daniel Weldon); as well as her brothers; James P. Sheridan (Kim), John J. Sheridan (Sheila); and her sister, Mary Braunschweiger (Art).
Cremation took place privately under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
A gathering to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 pm at the Somerville Elks Lodge #1068, 375 Union Avenue, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Please join us to relive memories, enjoy some food, and raise a glass in her honor.
