Norma Louise Walls (Van Orden) , age 96 years, of Allamuchy Township, NJ, died peacefully at home on Saturday, July 3, 2021 under the caring watch of Ennoble Hospice.
Born in Newark, NJ on January 2, 1925, Norma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
Humble, spunky and private, Norma was a longtime member of Lebanon Reformed Church, Stanton Grange No. 148, and also sang with Sweet Adelines. Additionally, she was a member of the Senior Citizens Club of Union Township, Hunterdon County, NJ, before moving to Sarasota, FL in 2004. In October 2019, she moved back to NJ and resided at Colonial Manor at Panther Valley until her passing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph H. Walls, a former two term Mayor of Clinton Township; her son, Ralph C. Walls; her daughters-in-law, Carolyn Walls ad Jean Walls; and her sister, Eleanor Quinn.
Surviving are her son, Glenn M. Walls of Clinton NJ; her granddaughter Nancy Lynn Walls and her husband, James Rion of Malden MA, her grandson, David Steven Walls of Clinton NJ, her granddaughter, Stephanie Lyn Lytle and her husband, Jeff Lytle of Paxinos PA, and her grandson, Rodney Walls and his wife Peggy, of Macungie PA; her great grandchildren, Oliva Sage Walls of Bangor PA, Madeleine Jean Broda and Alexandra Lyn Broda, both of Paxinos PA , and Sarah Jean Walls of Macungie PA,; her daughter-in-law, Betty Walls Lederman of Sarasota FL; and many nieces, nephews, step-great grandchildren, and extended family.
Funeral services and burial at Newell Cemetery, Stanton, NJ, are private are under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
