Richard William “Rick” Lesser, age 53 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, February 17, 2015.

Born July 22, 1961 in Bayonne, NJ, son of the late Richard J. and Rita Ramazio Lesser, he grew up in Kinnelon, NJ and had formerly resided in El Paso, TX, Ledgewood, NJ, Flemington, NJ, Clinton, NJ and Hampton, NJ.

A graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso, Rick was above all other things, a devoted father to his children. They meant everything to him and his legacy will live on through them.

Surviving are his children, Jonathan and Michelle Lesser; a sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and James Lombardo of Vernon, NJ; his step-children, Stacey Callahan of Hampton, NJ and Joseph Callhan of Bridgewater, NJ; his former wife, April Vonah of Hampton, NJ; a niece; two nephews; and many friends.

Memorial Services will take place on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. in Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ, preceded by a visitation from 2:00-4:00 p.m.

Rick was a well-loved member of the Kinnelon High School class of 1979. He was a blast. He was a tru master of the Air Guitar. So many great memories that will last forever. Rick was kind, generous, caring and FUN! His friends Bill P, Mark N, Doug A, Thomas and Robin - Inge, Cate and Jane and many, many others. He was truly one of a kind...till we meet again my friend...RIP - we will never forget. This picture is the last time we were all together.

My condolences to Rick's family. Rick grew up across the street from me. He was one of the younger kids and had red hair. Both out Dad' worked at Kerfott/Singer if I am not mistaken. May he rest in peace. Sincerely, Mark Laurora

What can I say about Rick ? He could sell yellow snow to the Eskimos ! He never wore a suit or was very handsome , but he was generous and could make you feel important he was a good listener. Rick was my Buddy! Rest in peace Bro !! He is up there smoking a cigarette drinking a pinogrigio trying to figure out how to make money or find out if there is a Racetrack up there .

I remember the first time I met Rick I was impressed by him in a lot of different ways. He was very intelligent and witty, and he inspired me. Rick had presence, one of those people that walk into a room and people know he is there. People wanted to be around Rick and talk to him because he always made for excellent conversation. He was also a savy business man and always had a knack for doing what he loved so well. He will be missed. Quick story that I'll always remember I had gotten some really expensive rims for my Mercedes and I was excited to show Rick and he comes out looks at it and goes Aweeeee man Danny you just went and ruined a perfectly good Mercedes Benz hahaha

My deepest sympathies to Ricky’s family. He was like another brother when we were kids… playing wiffle ball on White Birch; hanging out on the Lessers’ front steps; making our way through high school. So fun and a really good guy. Rest in peace, Ricky. You’re already missed.

I had some great times with Ricky growing up. Spent many good times with Ricky and his family. He was a good friend and person. Rest in peace my friend. Thoughts and prayers to your entire family.

Rick, was a good friend to a lot of people of which some forgot him in times of trouble. But he never forgot them. He will always be my friend and some day we will meet again to talk ,eat an laugh. A great GUY
