Samantha Aristea Moore, age 39 years, of North Waterboro, ME, died suddenly on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at her parents home in Kingwood Township, NJ.
Born at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ, March 16, 1977, Samantha had resided in Maine for the past twenty-one years, having been raised in Kingwood Township, NJ.
A 1995 graduate of Delaware Valley Regional High School, she went on to attain her Bachelor of Arts in History and English from the University of Maine at Machais. She did additional coursework receiving her Certified Nursing Associate designation and worked as a CNA both in area nursing homes as well as providing in-home care.
Samantha will be remembered by anyone who met her as a truly selfless soul whose caring, loving, genuine and compassionate nature is the legacy she will leave for her children, family and friends to be inspired by.
She was one who always put her family first; helping to take care of her mother especially, and coming down this past week specifically to cook Thanksgiving dinner for her parents. She was well known for her cooking, especially her baking. Crocheting was also a hobby that she enjoyed.
It was in college that she met Jeffrey Gary Moore. The two began dating and that lead to Jeffrey proposing in a canoe on Boyden Lake in Perry, ME. They were married at Boyden Lake on August 26, 2000.
Samantha will forever be missed by her husband, children, parents, siblings and countless other extended family and friends whose lives were richer for having her in them and who will be better people for having known her.
Surviving in addition to her husband of sixteen years, Jeffrey, are two children, Aristea Rose Moore and James Gary Moore; her parents, Gary Dee and Carole Lynn Crohn Davis of Kingwood Township, NJ; her siblings, Lisa Eichlin and her husband, Scott of Union Township, NJ, Gary Davis, Jr. of Flemington, NJ; Katherine Powell and her husband, William of Kingwood Township, NJ; her sisters-in-law, Shannon Harding Davis of Frenchtown, NJ and Julie Moore in Maine; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gary and Cindy Moore of Waterboro, ME; her “brother’s,” Angus McPhail and Charlie Stanhope; her “sister,” Heather Curtis; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and many extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. at Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00-7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
There will be an additional memorial gathering in Maine at a later date.
Cremation services are private.
