Sarah C. Sahaydak, age 85 years, of Cherryville, PA, passed away Friday, July 8, 2016 at Sacred Heart Senior Living located in Center Valley, PA. Born May 4, 1931 in Tewksbury, NJ, she was the third child of Leslie and Elsie Lindabury. She was raised on a farm in Hunterdon County with her brother Stanley Lindabury and her sister Inez Caviler, who both preceded her in death.
In 1950, Sarah graduated from Clinton High School and then soon after, married Raymond Reper, her first husband with whom she had two children, a daughter, Bobbie Atfield presently of Martinsville, NJ, and a son, Raymond Reper of Cherryville, PA. Later Sarah met Walter Sahaydak, whom she married in 1966. In 1970, the couple had another son, Walter C. Sahaydak, presently of Fleetwood, PA. All three of her children survive her.
Sarah and Walter lived for many years on Dayton Road in Flemington, NJ. Later, they moved to Pennsylvania. There, the couple’s life together allowed Sarah to spend time raising her beloved horses. She enjoyed traveling, golfing, and caring for her family.
Her husband of forty-one years, Walter Sahaydak, died in 2008. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Tara Reper. Surviving her are her five grandchildren: Raymond Paul Reper and his girlfriend Katie Saverino, Beth Levitt and her husband Michael, PJ Gillespie and Julian and Frederick Sahaydak, as well as her four great grandchildren: Kallie, Jeffrey and Travis Levitt and Grace Reper.
Gathering and Services will be Saturday, July 16, 2016 starting at 11am until time of service, 1pm, and will be under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ. The interment will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery, 69 Capner Street, Flemington, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Sarah’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater New Jersey by visiting “In Memory Of” at www.inmemoryof-memorial.org.
