Sophie “Sunny” Neustadt, age 94 years, of Whippany, NJ, died on Thursday, August 6, 2015 in Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, NJ.

Born in Austria on December 15, 1920, she emigrated with her parents to the United States at the age of three and grew up in the Bronx, NY.

A whimsical woman who will be remembered as a true conversationalist, Sunny was truly a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend to all she met.

She was a lifelong member of Hadassah and was a mentor to high school students throughout her life. Education was very important to her and she made sure both her children received good educations.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Robin Neustadt of Buffalo Grove, IL; a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Edward Winnick of Raritan Township, NJ; a brother and sister-in-law, Nathan and Estelle Wechsler of Boyton Beach, FL; four granchdilren, Sydney and Matthew Winnick and D.J. and Lacey Neustadt; and many friends.

Graveside Services will take place on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 1:15 p.m. in the Sanctuary of Abraham and Sarah Chapel located on the grounds of Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, NJ 07652 under the care of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.

Shiva will be observed at the home of Sharon and Edward Winnick, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday with Services each evening at 7:30 p.m.
