T. Wayne Loux, Jr., age 80 years, of Maineville, OH, died peacefully at his daughter’s home in Columbia, NJ on Saturday, January 14, 2017.
Born May 2, 1936 in Norristown, PA, son of the late T. Wayne Loux, Sr., and Dorothy Mabel Loux, he resided in Maineville, OH for the past ten years, having formerly lived in Toms River, NJ for most of his life.
Wayne was a 1954 Graduate of Eisenhower-Norristown High School, Norristown, PA and received his B.S. in chemistry in 1958 from Ursinus College, Collegeville, PA. He then went on to work as an organic chemist for Ciba-Geigy in Toms River, NJ, for many years having retired several years ago.
Wayne had a strong affiliation to the Episcopal Church where he served as an altar boy, acolyte, lecturer, chalice bearer and was also a proud member of the Vestry.
His faith was an important and guiding light in his life and this faith is what help forge the great love that he had for his family and friends, for which he would do anything.
A member of the Board of Directors of the Toms River Country Club, Wayne was also a member of the Masonic Temple of Toms River, NJ. He also enjoyed gardening and jigsaw puzzles.
In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Kenworthy.
Surviving are his devoted and loving wife of fifty-five years, Anne Christine Furst Loux; three children and their spouses, Jennifer Breland and her husband, Bobby, of Liberty Township, OH, Priscilla Fay and her husband, Frank, of Columbia, NJ, and Derek Loux and his wife, Alina, of Lake Hiawatha, NJ; a sister, Anne Wrick of Norristown, PA; nine wonderful and adored grandchildren, Andrew, AnneChristine, Christian, Jonathon, Gregory, Courtney, Zachary, Sara, and Rebecca; and many extended family and friends. He will also be sorely missed by his loving dog, Cooper, who stayed by his side faithfully until he died.
Funeral arrangements and interment in St. John’s Church Yard, Norristown, PA, will be private under the care of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ. There will be a public life celebration in the upcoming weeks in Ohio. Information regarding that service will be posted when finalized.
