Timothy W. Edgar, age 63 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 in Kingwood Township, NJ, surrounded by his loving family under the caring watch of Hunterdon Hospice.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, April 13, 1953, son of the late Alexander Edgar, Sr. who died in 1986 and the late Helen S. Kemly Edgar who died in 2011, Timothy was raised in Secaucus, NJ before moving and living most of his life in Hunterdon County, NJ.
He was formerly a commercial truck driver with Warren Pallet, Warren, NJ and had served as the Service Manager in the Sun-Ridge Development, Raritan Township, NJ.
A truly hard worker who was fondly called, “Mr. Fix-It” by those who knew him, Timothy was a man who earlier in life had some issues, but overcame them all with the past thirty-seven years of being sober. This is a fact he was proud of and he always was looking forward and not backward, doing all he could for his family and friends.
This translated into a generous and giving personality whose ‘family-first’ approach meant the world to those closest to him. As a father and grandfather, he did all he could to see his family be happy.
Timothy was a Chef at heart, always tinkering in the kitchen as well as outside. Family trips to the Jersey Shore, the Frenchtown Roller Rink and anything adventurous will be fondly remembered by his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Alexander Edgar, Jr. in 1951.
Surviving are his children, a daughter, Jaime Lynn Edgar and the father of Timothy’s adored grandchildren, William Fristrom, of Flemington, NJ, his twin sons, Alex M. Edgar of Frenchtown, NJ and Jared J. Edgar and his fiance, Leslie Brockles of Orlando, FL; two grandchildren, Jacob William and Ella Louise Fristrom; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Gerald Pyskaty of Stewartsville, NJ and Wendy and John Goska of Amherst, VA; his former wife and her partner, Esther Einstein and Richard Graf of Kingwood Township, NJ; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and many devoted friends.
Graveside Services will take place Monday, September 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Prospect Hill Cemetery, 69 Capner Street, Flemington, NJ under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ. Everyone is kindly asked to use the top gate (the third gate on right going up the hill from the center of Flemington) and to arrive at 10:45 a.m.
