Walter Bucior, age 63 years, of Delaware Township, NJ, died on Monday, August 10, 2015 in the Veterans Affairs Hospital, East Orange Campus, NJ.
Born in Germany, December 4, 1951, son of the late Michael and Daria Assimow Bucior, he had resided in Delaware Township for the past thirty years, having formerly lived in Perth Amboy, NJ.
A Custodial Superintendent for Ferro Corp., Middlesex, NJ, Walter was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War, faithfully and honorably serving the country he loved.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories Parish, Baptistown, NJ and was an avid Yankees fan.
The thing Walter wanted to be remembered for was the fairytale story type of love he had for his wife of thirty-eight years, Linda Shoemaker Bucior, with whom he joined hands in marriage on October 16, 1976. The two were inseparable, and from their union came the other thing Walter wanted to be remembered for: the love he had for his two beautiful daughters, Jessica Marie Bucior, who died after a courageous battle with cancer in 1996 and his other daughter, Amber Lynn Cruz, who sadly lost her battle with cancer after a brave fight on July 20 of this year. Walter’s girls were his life and he theirs; this type of love is what made the trials of life bearable.
In addition to his parents and daughters, Walter was preceded in death by a brother, Andrew Bucior, who was killed in combat serving his country during Vietnam.
Walter is survived his loving and devoted wife Linda Shoemaker Bucior; several siblings and their spouses, Michael and wife, Lora Bucior, Sophie Ziemba, Christine and husband, Woody Seich, Eddie Bucior, Lucy Bucior and Norman, and Frank and his wife, Faith Bucior; his best friend, George Cenz; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Melody and John Murphy; his son-in-law, Daniel Cruz; and several nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
